Pressure Reducing Valve
SHIELD manufactures two types of Pressure Reducing Valves, such as Globe Type and Angle Type. SD-PRV-G (globe) and SD-PRV-A (angle) Pressure Reducing Valves automatically reduce a higher inlet pressure to a steady lower outlet pressure regardless o changing ow rate andor varying inlet pressure. The valves pilot control system is very sensitive to slight downstream pressure fluctuation, and will automatically open or close to maintain the desired pressure setting. The downstream pressure can be set over a wide range by turning the adjustment screw on the CRD pilot control. The adjustment screw is protected by a screw-on cover, which can be sealed to discourage tampering.
Our diaphragm actuated design is proven highly reliable and easy to maintain. We oer both aglobe or angle pattern with a ull range o adjustments. These valves are also available in a variety o material options. Epoxy coating is strongly recommended or all re system valves (excluding bronze valves). The SDPRV- G and SD-PRV-A can be supplied with optional
internal and external epoxy coating o the main valve wetted surfaces.
This Valve is indispensable when the fire pump pressure exceeds 12-bar.
